Maden Healthcare Foundation, Sapele Zone of the Delta State Chapter Marks School Health Month With Outreach to Eight Schools

The Maden Healthcare Foundation, Delta State Chapter (Sapele Zone) on November 6th, 2025, as part of its activities to commemorate School Health Month, carried out a large-scale school outreach aimed at improving student well-being, menstrual health awareness, and emergency preparedness across secondary schools in Sapele.

The outreach, led by volunteers and healthcare educators, reached eight schools across the Sapele metropolis, where the Foundation donated its signature Maden Emergency Menstrual Hygiene Kits, customized First Aid Kits, and educational posters on menstrual hygiene, hand hygiene, first aid, and CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

These resources were distributed to empower students and teachers with knowledge and practical tools to support health and safety within their school communities.

Promoting Dignity and Health in Schools

The Maden Emergency Menstrual Hygiene Kit was highlighted as an essential resource designed to ensure that no girl misses school due to her menstrual period, while the Maden First Aid Kit equips schools to respond quickly to minor injuries and emergencies.

Speaking during the outreach, the Administrative Officer representing the Sapele Zonal Coordinator of Maden, Cristabel Omorodion emphasized that investing in the health and dignity of schoolchildren is key to building a stronger, healthier future for Delta State and Nigeria.

“School health is the foundation of national health. When students are healthy, confident, and informed, they learn better and lead better,” she noted.

Teachers and school administrators expressed appreciation for the materials and the interactive sessions, describing them as timely, practical, and impactful. Many noted that the posters placed in classrooms and hallways will serve as daily reminders that reinforce healthy habits among students.
